CELEBRITY JAZZ SINGER CJ TO APPEAR AT EMANDEL As
part of its 21st anniversary year celebrations Emandel restaurant
has taken the decision to throw open its doors for the first time until
2am on Friday nights. Celebrity jazz singer Christine Jenkins, who has
performed all over the world, will appear at the restaurant performing
jazz songs from Friday June 14th and every Friday thereafter
until the end of September. “CJ
is quite a performer, she has a fantastic low and sultry voice. When you
see her perform it’s like watching a stage show. She’s got quite a following.
People are already booking in for a chance to see her singing live". Christine
Jenkins was born and bred in the home of music, New Orleans, Louisiana.
She began singing professionally at the age of fourteen. After being discovered
in The Ice House in Los Angeles CJ left the US to take up opportunities
in Europe. She performed in the musical “Hair” in Madrid, and in Parisian
clubs including The Front Page, rue Saint Denis and Astoin Rive Gauche.
Christine
is now based in London and has formed a strong musical partnership with
Fred Humphreys on keyboards. They perform a lively combination of jazz
standards including such songs as: Route 66, Satin Doll, Stormy Weather,
Cry Me a River, Tuxedo Junction, Summertime, Georgia, Chattanooga Choo
Choo, Lady is a Tramp, This Masquerade, Funny Valentine and many more.

very fortunate to be one of the few venues in Richmond to hold a late
license. We’re delighted to be able to offer these special Friday jazz
